This isn't really gaming related, but my dad and I finally got around to seeing 42 AKA the Jackie Robinson Story. Normally, I think sports movies are too sappy, and full of cliches, but this felt bigger than just another sports movie. The whole cast was great, but especially Harrison Ford as Branch Ricky, Chadwick Boseman as Jackie, and Nicole Beharie as Rachel Robinson (NOT Kerry Washington as I originally thought). The film did an excellent job of portraying the racial tensions of the time; one moment that hit me in the gut was a father saying racial slurs towards Jackie, and his boy joining in. I felt a wide range of emotions throughout, from joy to laughter to sadness. Overall, I enjoyed this movie, and I would easily recommend it!
